Job Opportunity: Financial Operations Lead
ArtsPool is currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations professional with bookkeeping experience to join their Financial Operations Team. This role will be instrumental in supporting a growing client list of nonprofit organizations, providing general bookkeeping support, and collaborating with clients and team members to perform various financial tasks.
Responsibilities of a Financial Operations Lead
- Reconciling all transactions on a weekly basis and requesting appropriate coding and documentation from clients
- Importing transactions from online accounts and third-party processors
- Performing month-end close tasks, including bank reconciliations
- Maintaining accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Recording and reconciling petty cash and expense advance transactions with correct coding and documentation
- Performing year-end close tasks and providing support to the Financial Maintenance Team in preparation for annual independent audits and tax filings
As a Financial Operations Lead, you will work closely with clients and team members to ensure seamless financial operations. Your responsibilities will include:
– Reconciling transactions on a weekly basis and obtaining necessary documentation from clients. – Importing transactions from online accounts and third-party processors to ensure accurate and efficient financial management. – Performing month-end close tasks, including bank reconciliations, to maintain financial transparency and accuracy. – Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. – Recording and reconciling petty cash and expense advance transactions to maintain financial records. – Collaborating with the Financial Maintenance Team to prepare for annual audits and tax filings.
Requirements for the Role
- 2-3 years of recent bookkeeping experience is required
- Ability to multi-task and handle 5-6 clients with varying levels of complexity
- Experience working within nonprofit and/or arts organizations is preferred
- Facility with web-based finance systems (Bill.com, Divvy, Melio, Xero, Quickbooks) and productivity software (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, etc) is required
ArtsPool is looking for a skilled Financial Operations professional who can work independently and collaboratively to support the growing client list of nonprofit organizations. The ideal candidate should have:
– 2-3 years of recent bookkeeping experience
– Ability to multi-task and manage complex client relationships
– Experience working within nonprofit and/or arts organizations is preferred
– Familiarity with web-based finance systems and productivity software
Compensation and Benefits
